Apple Picking Volunteer Morning

🍎 Thank you to the wonderful volunteers who joined us to harvest apples 🍎

We have had a bumper crop of apples this year and this is due to the weather conditions of Summer and early Autumn. The warm, dry conditions of Summer that were followed by rainfall in early Autumn have caused trees to put their energy into producing large quantities of nuts and fruit.

We had four lovely volunteers join us for the morning and harvested 30 crates of apples. We were astonished that this many apples came from just 2 trees! Afterwards, we ate apple cake.
