We believe that food is a the catalyst to reconnect ourselves with the land, each other & ourselves. We run a variety of events ranging from tractor tours to field - fork feasts and nature walks to open days. We want to share our wonderful farm with you.

Big Butterfly Count 2026

Butterflies need our help now more than ever ?On Friday 7th August we invite you and your family to our farm to get involved with the Big Butterfly Count 2026

Please note that this is taking place instead of the Wildlife & Wellbeing Walk this month

Buck’s Banquet

A long table banquet with local and seasonal ingredients

We have partnered with Buck's who have created a seasonal menu using Shillingford Organic produce and other organic and local suppliers to offer an on-farm rustic dining experience.
You will be sat with a group of other diners watching our chef prep and cook local and seasonal ingredients over-fire. Sat in a barn, around long tables overlooking our beautiful farm.

Devon's Harvest Festival at Shillingford Organics

Saturday 5th September
10am - 4pm

We are very excited to be hosting our Harvest Festival in partnership with Buck's and other local businesses to celebrate the best of Devon's local and ethical produce & the summer harvest.
There will be local food, music, cooking demonstrations and a pop‑up farmers’ market.
This is one not to be missed!

Why not stay on afterwards for our evening banquet?

£40 + booking fees (includes the day ticket)

At the end of the day - enjoy a rustic dining experience sat with a group of other diners watching our chef cook local and seasonal ingredients over-fire.

Martyn's Farming Club

Join Martyn, founder of Shillingford Organics, to create our new permaculture space!


We are looking for volunteers to help bring our permaculture vision to life! Volunteers needed every Tuesday morning.

The Events Barn, Shillingford Organics, Barton Lane, EX2 9QQ

Every Tuesday morning

8.45am - 11am (lunch served after 11am)

Volunteers will receive coffee and a light lunch for their time

What to expact


You'll spend the morning carrying out a task in our new permaculture area. This might involve digging new permanent beds, tending to newly planted trees or pulling weeds. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and meet like-minded people.

To bring:


Waterproof and sturdy shoes

Clothing appropriate for the season

Water bottle containing at least 1L of water

Shillingford Organics is based at Barton Farm, just 3 miles from the centre of Exeter. Approach the farm via Barton Lane as alternative routes in are made for tractors!

Make sure to not follow directions to Shillingford Farm Shop & Cafe as this is in the centre of Exeter
