We believe that food is a the catalyst to reconnect ourselves with the land, each other & ourselves. We run a variety of events ranging from tractor tours to field - fork feasts and nature walks to open days. We want to share our wonderful farm with you.

Summer Solstice Natural Crafting Day

Spend Summer Solstice creating from foraged delights with a local artisan


Guests will spend the day creating bespoke tonic tea with Yasmin Kerr, Medical Herbalist

The day will start by foraging across the farm for materials for your creations. On the way you'll learn about the seasonal botanicals found on the farm.
Guests will return to our Events Barn, where a light lunch, making use of Shillingford veggies, will be served.

The afternoon will be spent creating bespoke tea with Yasmin.

To complete the day, guests will receive a farm tour on our tractor-trailer!

Yasmin Kerr


Yasmin Kerr, founder of Honeysuckle Herbal, is a qualified Medical Herbalist practicing in Exeter, Topsham and Ottery St Mary. She spends most of her time treating patients, teaching, foraging and making medicine with plants.

Yasmin completed her training at the esteemed Betonica School of Herbal Medicine. This rigorous four-year program instilled a scientific yet holistic approach to healthcare, emphasizing the integration of traditional knowledge with modern medical understanding. Yasmin is an insured practitioner and a proud member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH).

You may have heard or seen her before. Yasmin trades at many local pop-up shops and markets across Devon, offering her organic handmade herbal remedies. In 2023, she spoke on BBC Radio Somerset about foraging and seasonal remedies. For several years Yasmin has also worked alongside paramedics in the medical tents at festivals such as the Green Gathering and Small World.

Yasmin is dedicated to making private healthcare affordable, accessible, and sustainable for both people and the planet. Her goal is to share her expertise in herbal medicine, empowering individuals to make informed choices throughout their healthcare journey. She is committed to helping patients achieve their optimal health and well-being.

Martyn's Farming Club

We are looking for volunteers to help bring our permaculture vision to life! Volunteers needed every Tuesday morning.

Volunteers will receive coffee and a light lunch for their time

What to expact


You'll spend the morning carrying out a task in our new permaculture area. This might involve digging new permanent beds, tending to newly planted trees or pulling weeds. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and meet like-minded people.

Wildlife & Wellbeing Morning - April


Join our Wildlife & Wellbeing Walk!


On the first Friday of every month we invite new and long-lasting friends of Shillingford Organics to join us for a walk across the farm. Each walk will have a theme and the theme for April is blossom!

What to expect


We'll meet at our Events Barn at 9am. Please come prepared for a walk across muddy and uneven terrain. This includes waterproof and sturdy footwear and warm and waterproof clothing. We'll take a leisurely wander alongside our hedgerows and agroforestry trees. Along the way, we'll take in the surge of Spring activity, forage some blossom and be peaceful in nature. Finally we'll return to the Events Barn to enjoy our tea of Springtime hedgerow delights.

Shillingford Organics is based at Barton Farm, just 3 miles from the centre of Exeter. Approach the farm via Barton Lane as alternative routes in are made for tractors!

Make sure to not follow directions to Shillingford Farm Shop & Cafe as this is in the centre of Exeter
