Coronavirus update - 21st March

With coronavirus (COVID-19) in the headlines — and the situation rapidly becoming more serious — we wanted to update you with the steps we are taking here at Shillingford Organics to minimise risks to both customers and staff.

We are currently unable to take on new box scheme customer registrations due to unprecendented demand. If you are an existing customer with a regular order, or you have already placed an order for next week, your order with us is secure. If you are a new customer, you will not be able to register with us at the moment.

We are doing our utmost to ensure that we can continue to deliver our high quality organic veg to customers at this challenging time and ask for your understanding on the following:

- There may be some variations in delivery times. Some customers who usually receive their box delivery on Thursdays will now receive their deliveries on Fridays until further notice. We have notified those people affected.

- We may need to make some swaps to produce in your box at short notice.

- Please only call/email us if your enquiry is urgent. We are a small team with limited capacity at the moment.

At present, Exeter Farmer's Market is going ahead as it is an important part of the food supply chain. Unless we hear otherwise, we will be there with a full range of produce and we are taking extra precautions to make sure our stall is hygienic.

We are taking steps to minimise direct contact between our customers and delivery staff and we will leave your boxes outside your door or in your designated safe place (without any direct contact with you). Weather permitting, please leave any used boxes outside ready for collection.

In addition, our growing and packing team are taking extra care to ensure the highest hygiene standards all times while we pick and pack your boxes.

Please note that our next event, Three Acres and a Cow on Friday 24th April has now been postponed until further notice.

Please look after one another and best wishes to you all at this uncertain time,
